This image shows Pan, one of Saturn's peculiar shepherd satellites. The 10 kilometre moon shepherds open the 325 km wide Encke Gap in the outer part of Saturn's A Ring. This is the Voyager image in which it was discovered. The region inside the yellow box is enlarged and enhanced as an inset to show Pan more clearly.
